Parent and Family Support

Our comprehensive range of services is designed to meet diverse family needs, whether you’re seeking assistance in accessing private services, supporting gifted or twice-exceptional children, or facilitating a smooth transition back to school after inpatient care. We also provide insights into early intervention for young children, effective communication with schools, co-parenting strategies, and technology use.

The process begins with a free consultation to assess your family’s most pressing needs and priorities. If you choose to engage our services, we will schedule a formal session to collaboratively develop a tailored plan outlining goals, objectives, timelines, and deliverables. This approach ensures you feel informed and empowered as you support your child’s educational journey.

Special Education and Section 504 Advocacy

Accessible Education’s Special Education and Section 504 advocacy services provide a more intensive level of support than our parent support services. After your initial consultation, if you choose to work with us, we will request your child’s educational records (such as the FIE and IEP) for a thorough review. If you encounter any challenges in accessing these records, we can guide you through the process of obtaining and organizing this documentation effectively.

Once we have reviewed these documents, we will meet to clarify your family’s concerns, goals, needs, and values, and collaboratively develop a clear plan for next steps. Our focus is on demystifying the ARD/IEP and Section 504 processes to ensure you fully understand your rights and responsibilities.

We are dedicated to helping you create effective communication strategies with your child’s school, empowering you to navigate disagreements regarding evaluations, services, accommodations, and compliance issues. Our goal is to equip you with the confidence to advocate on behalf of your child.

Before any meetings, we will provide you with the necessary tools and knowledge to ensure you feel prepared and self-assured. If needed, we can accompany you to meetings with the school to facilitate collaboration and work toward achieving the best possible outcomes for your child.

Services for Professionals and Organizations

Accessible Education offers specialized consulting services and subject matter expertise in process improvement, data/IT integration, and educational program support. We help school districts streamline cross-functional processes by bridging communication gaps between administrative/operations and programmatic staff. With experience in supporting educational and operational software implementations, we have worked with a variety of educational technologies and vendors, including Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), Special Education/Section 504 compliance and monitoring software, and more. We also support state and federal reporting and data governance initiatives, including those related to State Performance Plan Indicators (SSPI), Public Education Information Management Systems (PEIMS), and the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC).
